Bybit has announced the listing of Hamster Kombat (HMSTR) tokens on its over-the-counter (OTC) platform, Bybit Pre-Market Trading. The official statement, released on July 8, 2024, marks a significant milestone for the record-breaking game in The Open Network (TON) ecosystem.
According to the announcement, trading for HMSTR tokens commenced on July 8 at 10:00 am UTC, with delivery schedule details to be announced soon. Bybit’s pre-market OTC platform allows users to trade new tokens before their official listing, enabling them to set quotes and execute trades at predetermined prices.
This pre-market inclusion provides users with an exclusive opportunity to acquire HMSTR tokens ahead of spot trading availability. Bybit emphasized the innovative nature of this offering, stating that it allows users to
“secure HMSTR tokens ahead of the market and lock in their purchase or sale prices early.”
While the pre-market trading has begun, the start date for spot trading of HMSTR remains undisclosed. Bybit cautioned that pre-market trading prices might reflect market expectations, but the official listing price could be influenced by various factors.
“It is important to understand that both the pre-market price and the official listing price are ultimately determined by the market and there is not necessarily a direct correlation between the two,”
the statement read.
As of now, data from Bybit Pre-Market Trading shows that the pre-market price of HMSTR has fluctuated between approximately 0.001 USDT and 0.1 USDT.
Hamster Kombat made headlines by becoming the third-fastest app to reach 150 million users. This Telegram-based game challenges players to accumulate virtual coins through tapping or strategic management.
Similar to Notcoin, it offers potential future airdrops as rewards. The game’s success is closely tied to its active YouTube and social media engagement, with its YouTube channel exceeding the subscription numbers of top global influencers like Mr Beast.
