OKX has introduced an innovative feature that allows users to search for over 10 million decentralized exchange (DEX) tokens directly within its app.
According to the press release, the move positions OKX as one of the first major centralized exchanges (CEX) to integrate seamless DEX token search capabilities, aiming to bridge the gap between centralized and decentralized finance. The new feature enables users to discover trending tokens on the OKX platform and trade them through the OKX Wallet’s DEX aggregator. OKX states that this innovation reflects its mission to unlock opportunities by simplifying discovery and trading.
Lennix Lai, OKX’s Global Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the importance of the new feature, stating,
“In crypto, the earliest opportunities often emerge first on DEX. Our new DEX token search functionality removes barriers between CEX and DEX, ensuring our users can be the first to seize opportunities wherever they arise.”
The user-friendly feature allows eligible customers to search tokens in the app’s search bar, view detailed trading charts, and execute trades seamlessly. New users can create an OKX Wallet within minutes while existing wallet holders are directed to the trading interface. The app also highlights trending tokens and popular trades, simplifying the discovery process.
This initiative follows OKX’s recent announcement of the launch of USDT-margined perpetual futures for Virtual Protocol’s token (VIRTUAL) and the Tron-based meme coin SUNDOG, with trading scheduled to begin on December 11, 2024. The VIRTUAL/USDT contract will open at 10:00 UTC, followed by the SUNDOG/USDT contract at 10:15 UTC. These contracts will offer leverage options ranging from 0.01x to 50x, and the funding fee will be set at +1.50% and -1.50%, recalculated every four hours. To stabilize initial trading, the funding fee will be capped at 0.03% until 16:00 UTC, after which the standard fee will take effect. The tick size for both contracts is 0.0001.
