Crypto exchange OKX has launched more than 40 tokenized US stocks and ETFs, allowing eligible customers across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, the CIS region, MENA, and Türkiye to trade assets such as Apple, NVIDIA, Tesla, the S&P 500, and Nasdaq-100 from the same account they use for crypto.
The tokenized stocks trade against USDT through OKX’s order book, giving users access to traditional market assets alongside digital assets without opening a separate brokerage account.
Blue-chip US stocks deserve more than Wall Street hours.
Introducing Stock and ETF tokenized markets – global trading 24/7
We’re the first global exchange to launch unified tokenized stock markets, built to bring multiple issuers into shared liquidity.
— OKX (@okx) July 15, 2026
The launch includes major technology companies such as Apple, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Tesla, as well as ETFs including the S&P 500 and Invesco QQQ. OKX said the rollout covers more than 40 assets at launch, with plans to support more tokenized products over time.
OKX aims to solve the problem of fragmented markets
OKX is focusing on one of the biggest problems facing tokenized equities, fragmented markets. Many tokenized stock platforms currently create separate versions of the same asset depending on the issuer. This can split trading activity between multiple markets, leaving each version with smaller liquidity pools.
OKX said its model creates one market for each stock, allowing different issuers to contribute liquidity to the same order book instead of competing with separate versions of the same asset.
The initial markets are supported by xStocks from Backed Assets, where each token is backed 1:1 by shares held in custody on behalf of the issuer. OKX said future issuers will be able to join the same market structure.
Can tokenized stocks gain more ground outside the United States?
Most platforms offering tokenized US stocks are targeting customers outside the United States rather than American investors. In many countries, opening a US brokerage account can involve strict eligibility requirements, higher costs, limited product availability, or lengthy onboarding processes. Tokenized stocks offer another way to access the same companies through blockchain-based platforms.
This has turned international markets into the industry’s biggest growth opportunity. Platforms including Kraken, Bybit, Figure and Robinhood have all expanded or announced tokenized equity products with a strong focus on users outside the US. Instead of competing for investors who already have easy access to Wall Street, they are targeting regions where access to US equities has traditionally been more limited.
By making tokenized US stocks available across parts of Asia, the Middle East, Türkiye, and the CIS, the exchange is positioning the product as a cross-border investment tool rather than a replacement for traditional US brokerages. If tokenized equities gain acceptance, much of their early growth may come from international investors looking for simpler access to global markets.
