KuCoin has completed its latest Proof of Reserves (PoR) audit, independently verified by blockchain security firm Hacken.
The audit confirms that the exchange continues to maintain over 100% of user liabilities across all major assets, marking its 32nd consecutive month of full collateralization. As of June 30, 2025, KuCoin reported reserve ratios of 110% for both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), 114% for Tether (USDT), and 112% for USD Coin (USDC).
This comprehensive audit spanned assets across more than 30 blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Solana, TON, and zkSync. To validate asset ownership and control, Hacken employed industry-standard techniques, including Proof of Liabilities, Proof of Ownership, send-to-self transactions, and digital signatures. Notably, no discrepancies or shortfalls were identified in KuCoin’s reserves.
According to the exchange, this audit reflects KuCoin’s firm commitment to transparency and user protection within the crypto ecosystem. It also underscores the platform’s broader strategy to restore confidence in centralized exchanges, particularly in the wake of high-profile failures across the industry.
The audit aligns with KuCoin’s ongoing $2 billion Trust Project, a long-term initiative designed to enhance platform security, boost operational integrity, and uphold public accountability. As part of this effort, KuCoin will continue to release PoR data and invest in advanced security infrastructure.
Additionally, users can independently verify KuCoin’s reserves through its live Proof of Reserves page, which provides real-time access to wallet balances and liability data, thereby reinforcing user trust through verifiable transparency.
The platform also announced that it will support the smart contract swap for Horizen’s $ZEN token, with the migration to be processed automatically for all holders.
KuCoin will support the contract swap of @horizenglobal $ZEN. The swap will be processed automatically for all ZEN holders on KuCoin.
