A wealth management client invested $11 million in Bitcoin during the recent market pullback, marking its first crypto allocation after nearly two years of sitting on the sidelines, according to Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley.
A wealth management client who Bitwise met two years ago, had never allocated to crypto.
Until today.
With the pullback, put $11M into Bitcoin.
For the huge cross section of investors not yet in crypto, a pull back is an opportunity.

Horsley revealed that the client had been in discussions with Bitwise for about two years but had not previously taken the step into digital assets. The decision to deploy capital came during the latest crypto market correction, a period many retail investors viewed with caution.
The move highlights how some high-net-worth and institutional investors are interpreting recent volatility not as a warning sign, but as a strategic entry opportunity.
Market dip seen as entry point
Speaking about the broader market sentiment, Horsley noted that a segment of investors who remain underexposed to crypto are beginning to see price declines as attractive buying windows rather than reasons to stay away.
Bitcoin’s fixed supply and long-term value narrative continue to resonate within wealth management circles, he said, even as short-term price swings persist. For investors with longer time horizons, pullbacks can provide opportunities to build positions at discounted levels.
The latest correction has tested market confidence, but it has also created openings for capital that had been waiting for clearer price levels before entering.
Institutional interest remains intact
Market observers say large Bitcoin allocations, such as the $11 million purchase, underscore sustained institutional appetite for the asset class. Despite ongoing volatility, institutional flows suggest that Bitcoin remains part of long-term portfolio discussions.
Analysts, however, caution that disciplined risk management remains essential in navigating crypto markets, given their historical price swings.
Bitwise Asset Management offers crypto-focused investment products to both institutional and individual clients and has positioned itself as a bridge between traditional finance and digital assets.
Meanwhile, Bitwise has taken a major step toward bringing decentralized finance into traditional markets after filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch a Uniswap-focused exchange-traded fund (ETF).
