KuCoin has officially launched KuCoin Thailand, a fully licensed digital asset exchange operating under the supervision of Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
This development marks the company’s first locally regulated platform in Southeast Asia, reinforcing its strategic push into one of the region’s most dynamic crypto markets.
Following a limited invite-only phase, the platform is now open to all eligible Thai users. It offers a localized user experience built on KuCoin’s global trading infrastructure, featuring Thai Baht fiat on- and off-ramps, enhanced security protocols, and a user-friendly interface. These elements are designed to ease the onboarding process for both first-time and seasoned crypto users in Thailand.

Thailand continues to position itself as a leader in the adoption of digital assets across Southeast Asia. In 2023, nearly 13 million Thais, around 18% of the population, were active cryptocurrency users. Now, with regulatory support expanding and initiatives underway to enable crypto payments for tourists via credit cards, the country’s digital economy is rapidly gaining traction.

Further strengthening its global strategy, KuCoin has also relaunched its Spotlight token launchpad after a year-long pause.
