OKX has announced the launch of USDT-margined perpetual futures for Virtual Protocol’s token (VIRTUAL) and the Tron-based meme coin SUNDOG.
Trading for these contracts will begin on December 11, 2024. The VIRTUAL/USDT perpetual futures will be available from 10:00 UTC while trading for SUNDOG/USDT will start at 10:15 UTC.
The contracts offer leverage options ranging from 0.01x to a maximum of 50x. Additionally, both contracts feature a funding fee of +1.50% and -1.50%, calculated every four hours, with zero interest charges. OKX has capped the funding fee at 0.03% to stabilize initial trading activity until 16:00 UTC on December 11. The standard funding fee will resume afterwards and be applied during the 20:00 UTC funding calculation. For both perpetual contracts, the tick size is set at 0.0001.
Virtual Protocol’s token (VIRTUAL) has experienced significant market momentum, rising nearly 4% in the past 24 hours to $1.68. Over the last week, the token has increased by 3% and almost doubled in value, rising nearly 100% in the past two weeks, according to CoinGecko. VIRTUAL has a market capitalization exceeding $1.6 billion, with a 24-hour trading volume of $267 million and a circulating supply of 1 billion tokens.
