Twitter, a popular social media platform, is reportedly teaming up with fintech firm eToro to introduce new features that will enable users to trade cryptocurrency and stocks.
According to a CNBC report, this feature will be available on the Twitter app from Thursday, April 13, allowing users to access market charts for various financial instruments and engage in trading activities on eToro’s platform.

The existing “cashtags” feature on Twitter, which provides real-time trading data from TradingView, will be enhanced through the collaboration between the social media platform and eToro.
According to an eToro spokesperson, the new cashtags will include a broader range of asset classes, and users will have the option to navigate to eToro’s website to buy or sell assets using the “view on eToro ” button.
Yoni Assia, the CEO of eToro, stated:
“As we’ve grown over the past three years immensely, we’ve seen more and more of our users interact on Twitter [and] educate themselves about the markets.”
Assia believes that the partnership with Twitter will help the company reach new audiences and provide real-time, high-quality content on financial analysis.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, had previously, upon taking charge of the social media giant, proposed the idea of transforming Twitter into an all-inclusive platform that provides users with access to multiple online services.
Founded in Israel in 2007, eToro is a reputable online brokerage platform that allows users to trade in stocks, cryptocurrencies, and index funds. Its most notable feature is the ability to copy the trading strategies of other users.
