South Korea’s METABORA, a global blockchain game studio and operator of the BORA token ecosystem, has partnered with LINE NEXT to distribute Web3 games through the LINE Messenger Mini Dapp portal—marking a significant expansion of its reach in the blockchain gaming sector.
This collaboration positions METABORA as a key content provider within LINE NEXT’s growing Dapp ecosystem. Built on the KAIA blockchain, the Mini Dapp platform allows users to access decentralized applications, including games and social features, directly inside LINE Messenger without installing additional apps. Since launching in January, the platform has attracted over 100 million cumulative users, reflecting strong demand for accessible Web3 experiences.

Building on this foundation, METABORA will introduce a slate of new blockchain games to the Mini Dapp ecosystem, leveraging its international network of developers. In return, LINE NEXT will facilitate game distribution and marketing, boosting user engagement and expanding Web3 gaming’s reach among mainstream audiences.
To enhance gameplay and monetization, the partnership will integrate METABORA’s native BORA token for in-game purchases. The companies are jointly developing a payment system that enables users to buy digital items using BORA, while a gas abstraction mechanism will eliminate the need for KAIA tokens to cover transaction fees—making the process seamless for players. This feature is slated for full deployment later this year.
Furthermore, both METABORA and LINE NEXT plan to explore the integration of stablecoins such as USDT. This move aims to broaden payment options and lower entry barriers for new users, making blockchain gaming more accessible to a global audience.
Together, these efforts reflect a broader industry shift toward making Web3 more accessible and user-friendly for the global mainstream.
