Binance has introduced the Alpha platform, which integrates with Binance Wallet’s Web3 wallet and will serve as the selection pool for pre-listed tokens.
According to a press release, the new platform will enable users to discover promising projects, with selected projects anticipated to be listed on the Binance exchange.
In recent months, Binance has added several of the most popular tokens on the market to its platform. Winson Liu, the Global Lead of Binance Wallet, stated that the Alpha platform will enhance the listing process by introducing greater transparency.
“By publicly highlighting a curated selection of early-stage projects, Binance Alpha fosters community trust, offering users insights into tokens with potential for future growth within the Binance ecosystem,”
Liu said.
Projects selected for Binance Alpha will leverage Binance’s industry expertise, focusing on factors such as assertive community engagement, traction, and emerging trends. Users will have the opportunity to explore and understand Web3 projects within the ecosystem.
On Binance Alpha, investors can explore and purchase tokens using the Quick Buy feature. After the spotlight period, tokens will remain accessible in the Markets tab. The platform’s first tokens will be listed on December 18, 2024, with five tokens featured in this inaugural round.
This news comes after the crypto exchange’s recent announcement to increase the maximum position limits for its yield-based margin asset, BFUSD, on Binance Futures. Starting on December 17, 2024, this upgrade will enhance trading capacity for users across all VIP levels, from VIP 0 to VIP 9.
For example, VIP 0 users will see their limit rise from 250,000 BFUSD to 400,000 BFUSD, while VIP 9 traders will experience an increase from 5,000,000 BFUSD to 8,000,000 BFUSD. The update applies to both master and sub-accounts. However, users cannot purchase BFUSD directly for sub-accounts and must utilize the API for transfers.
