Bitget Launches Stock+ for Direct U.S. Stock Ownership Using Crypto

Last updated on June 30th, 2026 at 10:53 am

Crypto exchange Bitget has introduced Stock+, a new feature that allows eligible users to buy and own real U.S. stocks using cryptocurrency, a step toward combining digital assets with traditional financial markets.

Announced on Monday, the product enables users to fund stock purchases with crypto assets, which are automatically converted into Circle’s USDC stablecoin before trades are executed. Bitget said the service is aimed at investors who want exposure to U.S. equities without moving funds between separate crypto exchanges, banks and brokerage accounts.

Stock+ offers real shares, not synthetic products

Unlike many crypto-linked stock offerings that rely on derivatives or synthetic exposure, Stock+ provides ownership of the underlying shares through regulated brokerage partners, according to the company.

That means users can receive benefits typically associated with stock ownership, including cash dividends and stock split adjustments. Trading is also aligned with U.S. market schedules, covering pre-market, regular and after-hours sessions.

Bitget Chief Executive Officer Gracy Chen said the launch reflects the company’s broader goal of creating a single platform that connects traditional and digital finance.

Access is important, but ownership matters too,”

Chen said.

“Giving users access to real ownership of U.S.-listed companies is how we actually bridge financial markets.”

Why is Bitget expanding beyond crypto?

The launch comes with the introduction of Reality, a regulated real-world asset protocol that supports tokenized stocks known as rTokens.

Reality issues tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds backed on a 1:1 basis through regulated broker-linked structures. Bitget said more than 500 U.S. stocks and ETFs are now available through its ecosystem, including products linked to companies such as Tesla, Nvidia and SpaceX.

The exchange added that assets under management tied to its rToken products have surpassed $50 million. With Stock+, Bitget is now offering investors a second route into equities through direct stock ownership rather than tokenized exposure.

Competition increases in crypto-stock trading

Bitget’s move comes as crypto exchanges race to expand into equity markets.

The company said Stock+ supports inbound transfers of existing stock holdings from participating brokers, allowing users to consolidate investments within a single platform. Trading fees start at 0.1%, with a promotional 50% discount running until Aug. 31, 2026.

The launch follows similar efforts across the industry. Binance recently rolled out its bStocks offering featuring tokenized shares tied to companies including Nvidia, Tesla and Circle, while Gate has expanded access to more than 1,000 Hong Kong-listed stocks through USDT-based trading.
