Jacob & Co. Launches Luxury Watch with Real Bitcoin Mining Capacity

Luxury watchmaker Jacob & Co. has officially entered the Bitcoin mining sector through a strategic partnership with GoMining to launch the Epic X GoMining. The collaboration features a limited-edition collection of 100 luxury timepieces, each priced at $40,000 and paired with a “digital miner” certificate that provides 1,000 terahashes (TH/s) of computing power.

This arrangement allows collectors to receive a share of Bitcoin mining revenue generated by GoMining’s global physical infrastructure, with estimated annual net returns reaching approximately $7,000 based on current market conditions.

Mining rewards meet Swiss craftsmanship

The Epic X GoMining is housed in a 44-mm black DLC titanium case and features an open-worked mechanical movement. Unlike previous “crypto-themed” watches that were purely aesthetic, this bundle functions as a revenue-generating asset. The 1,000 TH/s hashrate is managed off-site by GoMining, eliminating the need for owners to maintain physical hardware or pay direct electricity bills at home.

Owners can track their daily $BTC rewards and scale their mining capacity through the GoMining mobile app, which integrates directly with the timepiece’s digital twin. According to GoMining CEO Mark Zalan, the project targets enthusiasts who want a “mechanical statement piece” that also possesses real-world utility in the blockchain ecosystem.

Contextual evolution of crypto horology

This launch represents a significant pivot for Jacob & Co., which previously released the Astronomia Solar Bitcoin in 2022 for $348,000. While that earlier model was limited to 25 pieces and featured decorative elements like a rotating Bitcoin logo and a microchip-shaped baseplate, it lacked functional mining capabilities. This shift toward utility mirrors broader trends in the Web3 space, where luxury brands like Bugatti and athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo have also collaborated with the jeweller on digital-physical hybrids.

The Epic X GoMining watch bridges luxury with utility in a rapidly evolving, sustainable blockchain ecosystem. As over 56% of Bitcoin mining now uses clean energy, this timepiece offers collectors a progressive, revenue-generating, and environmentally conscious digital asset.

GoMining opened orders for the Epic X GoMining on February 6, 2026, making the collection available through its marketplace. The watch was also slated for availability through Jacob & Co.’s showrooms in New York and Miami and the company’s website.

The collection was subsequently showcased at Consensus Hong Kong in February 2026, giving the collaboration a platform within the broader crypto industry.
