Crypto meets global mobile connectivity
The partnership allows users to activate eSIM data plans instantly without physical SIM cards, offering access to mobile networks in multiple countries through a fully digital process.
Yesim provides global coverage and flexible data packages designed for travellers, remote workers, and digital nomads. With the new integration, payments can now be completed directly through KuCoin Pay’s infrastructure, removing the need for traditional banking channels.
The system is designed to simplify cross-border connectivity, allowing users to remain online immediately upon arrival in supported regions. It also introduces crypto-based settlement into a real-world utility sector that has traditionally relied on fiat payment systems.
Expanding real-world utility for digital assets
The integration reflects a broader push by KuCoin Pay to extend cryptocurrency use beyond trading and speculation into everyday services.
By embedding digital asset payments into travel and mobile infrastructure, the platform is positioning crypto as a functional payment method for essential services such as internet access, roaming alternatives, and remote communication tools.
Yesim, founded in Switzerland, operates as a global eSIM provider focused on secure and flexible mobile connectivity. The company’s infrastructure supports instant activation and self-service management, making it compatible with crypto-based payment flows.
Meanwhile, KuCoin has introduced stock index perpetual contracts, expanding its derivatives offerings to include equity-linked instruments traded on a crypto-native platform.
