Bithumb and Upbit are set to list Berachain (BERA) on February 6. Bithumb will offer BERA in its KRW market, with deposits available at 8:00 PM KST and trading opening at 10:00 PM KST.
Upbit will support BERA in the KRW, BTC, and USDT markets, starting deposits at 9:00 PM KST and trading at 10:00 PM KST.
Both Bithumb and Upbit are implementing strict deposit and trading policies. All deposits must be made exclusively through the Berachain network; those made via other networks will be rejected. To ensure a smooth trading experience, the platforms will impose temporary trading restrictions: buying orders will be limited for the first five minutes, and only limited orders will be accepted during the first hour.
Additionally, on Bithumb, selling orders priced more than 10% below or 100% above the base price will be restricted for the first five minutes. Both exchanges stress the necessity of using verified personal wallet addresses for deposits. Users should also be mindful of travel rule compliance; transfers exceeding 1 million KRW require additional verification.
Berachain employs a Proof of Liquidity mechanism with a two-token model: BERA for transaction fees, staking, and BGT. Bithumb and Upbit caution that trading virtual assets like BERA carries high risks and recommend thorough research before investing.
Notably, both exchanges recently listed Magic Eden’s native token, ME, on December 10. Upbit offered trading pairs with KRW, BTC, and USDT, while Bithumb listed ME/KRW with a base price of 2,286 won (approximately $1.59). Deposits and withdrawals for ME were supported via the Solana network, requiring users to link a verified personal wallet address. Trading for ME began at 14:00 UTC on Upbit, with Bithumb also introducing the SynFutures governance token, $F. Trading for $F started after securing sufficient liquidity, and both exchanges reminded users that deposits from unverified wallets may face return processes.
