Mesh, a crypto interoperability project, has announced a strategic partnership with CoinMENA FZE, a leading crypto exchange in the Middle East, aimed at simplifying crypto asset management for residents of the region.
This partnership would see the crypto exchange join Mesh’s integrated network and services. The integration is expected to remove the need for complicated processes like long crypto addresses, QR codes, and seed phrases and allow CoinMENA users to access their accounts effortlessly from other platforms.
Bam Azizi, CEO and Co-Founder of Mesh, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with CoinMENA, saying, “We’re excited to work with CoinMENA to enhance the crypto experience in the Middle East.” He raised the crypto exchange’s shared vision for a more connected and secure financial ecosystem and highlighted that such collaborations are crucial to onboarding the following billion users into crypto.
CoinMENA Co-Founders Talal Tabbaa and Dina Sam’an stated that the partnership aligns with their goal of providing a reliable platform for easy fiat-to-crypto transitions and also strengthen CoinMENA’s position as the leading gateway for MENA investors. They added that they believe the partnership addresses their users’ needs because it will offer users a new way to fund crypto wallets.
Founded in 2020 by Bam Azizi and Adam Israel, Mesh raised $22 million in a Series A funding round in September 2023. The round was led by Money Forward and other participants included Galaxy and Samsung Next. At the time, Azizi said the proceedings would help to advance Mesh’s development of tools for deposits, payments, and payouts.
In early July, Mesh partnered with Italian crypto wallet Conio to expand its integration across major crypto trading platforms like Coinbase and Binance. The collaboration allows Conio’s 430,000 users to access ten crypto exchanges and withdraw funds directly into their Conio wallets.
