The primary address linked to the infamous Uranium Finance hack of April 2021 has once again moved to transfer a substantial amount of stolen cryptocurrency funds.
According to Peck Shield, a leading blockchain security firm, the hacker successfully moved $3.1 million worth of Binance USD (BUSD) stablecoins from BNB Chain to the Ethereum blockchain.

This move involved a series of transactions that occurred within one hour earlier today and resulted in the transfer of funds from BNB Chain to Ethereum. The hacker moved 500,000 BUSD six times and an additional 100,000 BUSD, totaling $3.1 million.
Following the transfer to Ethereum, the hacker sent 1,200 ETH, equivalent to $1.89 million, to the cryptocurrency mixing service Tornado Cash. These ETH funds were sent in 12 separate transactions between 7:32 AM and 8:09 AM UTC, according to data on Etherscan.
As a result of these transactions, the hacker’s BNB Chain address now holds over $15 million, with $10.29 million in BUSD and $4.73 million in Wrapped BNB.
This development is part of a series of similar movements by the hacker, with the most recent being only 61 days ago when the same address laundered 1,100 ETH through Tornado Cash in August. Before that, the hacker used the mixing service to move over 1,320 ETH in July, June, and May 2023.
The first transfers occurred in March when the hacker moved 2,250 ETH, worth $3.35 million at the time, to Tornado Cash.
The chain of events can be traced back to the initial breach of the Uranium Finance protocol in April 2021. During this exploit, the hacker took advantage of a vulnerability in the platform’s pair contracts and stole over $50 million worth of crypto assets.
