Sible Network has suspended a controversial update that would have allowed users to link and operate up to three mining accounts on one smartphone. The feature was initially introduced to give users more flexibility without requiring them to own multiple devices. However, it quickly attracted criticism from community members who believed it could undermine the project’s proof-of-human distribution model.
Users warned that allowing multiple accounts on one device could make it easier for individuals to create fake identities and collect more mining rewards. This could lead to unfair token distribution and reduce the value of tokens earned by legitimate users operating single accounts.
Sible Network Announcement
We’ve been listening closely to the concerns raised by our community, and we truly appreciate everyone who has shared their feedback.
After carefully considering feedback from our users and ambassadors, we have decided to temporarily suspend the trial of allowing three different individuals to share a single device. We respect our community’s concerns, and your trust will always be one of our highest priorities.
We also want to make one thing absolutely clear:
One Person = One Account. No exceptions.
Every individual is allowed to have only one Sible account. Creating multiple accounts for personal gain is strictly prohibited.
We would also like to explain why we originally considered allowing multiple people to share a device.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve received messages from people around the world sharing their personal circumstances. Some families are struggling financially and simply cannot afford more than one smartphone. Yet their spouses and children still want to participate in Sible.
These stories matter to us.
We believe that financial circumstances should never stand in the way of opportunity. Not every family can afford multiple devices, and we don’t believe they should have to.
Our intention was never to encourage multiple accounts, but to ensure that people from disadvantaged backgrounds would not be left behind.
At the same time, we understand the community’s concerns about fairness, bots, and potential abuse of the system. These concerns are valid, and we take them seriously.
Fairness and accessibility should always go hand in hand.
Sible belongs to its community, and we believe the best decisions come from listening to the people who are building this journey with us.
Thank you for your honesty, your trust, and your continued support. We are building Sible together. ❤️

Following the backlash, Sible Network abandoned the planned rollout and said it would prioritize stronger identity verification in its upcoming whitepaper. The project also plans to use its AI compliance framework, known as Sible Sentinel, to enforce participation rules and protect the network from abuse.

Multiple accounts raise concerns over fake user growth
New mobile cryptocurrency projects often face pressure to report high numbers of active users to attract partnerships and establish themselves in the market. Allowing multiple accounts on one device can make it easier to increase these figures without bringing in more genuine participants.
However, inflated user numbers can damage token distribution and weaken trust in a project’s actual growth. If individuals can operate several accounts, they may earn more rewards than legitimate users, creating an imbalance in the ecosystem.
A community member on X, @Erick questioned whether the development team intended to skip identity verification simply to increase the network’s reported participant numbers rather than build a community of genuine users.
Sible Network describes itself as a decentralized infrastructure project for artificial intelligence computing. To support this goal, it needs a genuine and distributed network of hardware providers.

Enterprise customers are unlikely to pay for computing resources if the network is largely made up of multiple empty or fake accounts controlled by the same individuals. This makes proper identity verification important not only for fair mining but also for the project’s long-term business model.
Community backlash forces Sible Network to reverse course
The quick suspension of the feature shows how strongly community members value fair token distribution. When developers proposed a change that could give some users an unfair mining advantage, many participants saw it as a warning sign about the project’s commitment to security and transparency.
One community member, Levi, expressed strong frustration with the proposal. He said the idea of allowing multiple mining accounts on one device had reduced community morale and given users valid reasons to question the project’s overall integrity.
His reaction reflects how quickly community support can weaken when a development team appears to prioritize easier onboarding over security and fair participation.
@SibleNetworkAI I went basack as soon as I got the information about allowing multiple accounts in a single device, it was discouraging and moral dampening, given me honest reasons to question the integrity of Sible project.

However, the decision to suspend the feature also received positive reactions. Another community member on X, Makaveli, praised the reversal as an example of strong leadership.
Makaveli argued that a development team must make decisions based on sound judgment rather than emotion. He also noted that users should manage their expectations instead of pressuring developers to introduce changes that could expose the network to structural risks simply to make participation more convenient.
@SibleNetworkAI Now that’s what a real team looks like.. there’s no emotion in crypto, those families should manage what they have rather than putting this project at risk cuz of emotional feelings

The reactions highlight the role of community feedback in shaping cryptocurrency projects. Although developers may introduce features to attract more users, an informed and vocal community can challenge decisions that threaten the network’s security and economic structure.
For Sible Network, suspending the multi-account feature may help restore confidence among supporters. However, the project’s next challenge will be demonstrating how Sible Sentinel and its proposed identity verification measures can prevent fake accounts while maintaining accessible participation.
