Revolut X Adds AI Assistant Support for Crypto Trading and Portfolio Management

Revolut has introduced AI assistant support for its standalone crypto exchange, Revolut X, allowing users to analyze markets, manage portfolios, and execute trades through natural language prompts.

The new integration connects Revolut X with third-party AI assistants, including Claude, Gemini, OpenClaw, and Cursor. Users on other AI platforms can also connect through a universal skill or a command-line interface available on GitHub, with no coding knowledge required.

What can AI assistants do on Revolut X?

The integration allows users to interact with their crypto accounts using simple text prompts, without navigating the trading platform.

Customers can request portfolio summaries, monitor real-time market prices, create custom price alerts, and place both market and limit orders. They can also manage existing positions directly through supported AI assistants without returning to the Revolut X application.

The platform also supports strategy analysis. Users can describe a trading idea in plain language, such as testing a Bitcoin grid trading strategy over the past 90 days, and receive historical performance data, risk metrics, and optimization results.

Leonid Bashlykov, Head of Product for Crypto at Revolut, said AI agents provide faster workflows, smarter execution, and better integration with the tools traders already use.

Users must approve every trade

Despite the new AI-powered features, Revolut said customers remain responsible for reviewing and approving every order before it is executed.

The company stressed that it does not endorse or guarantee the performance of third-party AI assistants and will not be responsible for trading losses, missed opportunities, or incorrect trades caused by AI-generated errors.

Revolut currently serves more than 75 million retail customers globally, including over 16 million crypto users. Its cryptocurrency services are provided by Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd., which is licensed as a crypto asset service provider under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework through the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.

Separately, Revolut announced that it would stop supporting Tether’s USDT stablecoin for customers in the EEA and Switzerland, marking another major move by a crypto platform responding to the EU MiCA regulation.

AI trading tools continue to gain traction across the crypto industry

Revolut’s latest rollout comes as more crypto companies introduce AI-powered trading features.

The Revolut X exchange first launched in May 2024 as a desktop platform for UK retail customers before expanding to 30 European markets later that year. A mobile app for UK and European Economic Area users followed in March 2025.

Other crypto platforms have also moved into agentic trading. Gemini introduced Agentic Trading in April, allowing users to connect Claude and ChatGPT to their exchange accounts through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard. A month later, Liquid launched Co-Invest, enabling live trade execution through ChatGPT and Claude.

Robinhood has also announced plans to roll out crypto-focused Agentic Accounts in the United States after previously testing AI-powered stock trading tools. The latest developments highlight the growing use of AI assistants to help traders analyze markets and execute crypto trades more efficiently.
