Grupo BIND, Circle Bring USDC Services to Institutional Clients in Argentina

Grupo BIND and Circle have partnered to offer regulated access to the USDC stablecoin for institutional clients in Argentina through BIND’s digital asset platform, BEN.

The partnership is made for corporations and financial institutions looking for a compliant way to hold and move digital dollars for treasury management, payments, and other business operations. Rather than targeting retail users, the service focuses on organizations looking to manage dollar exposure as Argentina continues to face inflation and a weakening peso.

Circle said the collaboration supports its strategy of expanding USDC’s role in Latin America’s regulated financial sector. The company has also been working with regulators across the region as stablecoins gain attention from banks and financial service providers.

A regulated option for corporate dollar access

The integration allows eligible institutions to access USDC through BEN under Argentina’s financial regulations. Businesses will be able to use the stablecoin for transactions tied to treasury management and cross-border payments without relying on informal dollar markets.

For many Argentine companies, preserving value in U.S. dollars has become part of routine financial planning. The partnership gives those firms another regulated channel for accessing digital dollars while keeping transactions within the formal financial system.

Argentina is becoming a stablecoin testing ground

Argentina has attracted nearly every major stablecoin company because of its long-running inflation and demand for U.S. dollar alternatives. Before Grupo BIND entered the picture, companies such as Circle, Tether, and Ripio had already expanded stablecoin services in the country.

Global payment firms, including Visa and Mastercard, have also backed crypto-linked payment programs for Argentine users, while exchanges such as Binance have introduced stablecoin payment and transfer features for local customers.

Unlike many markets where stablecoins are still treated mainly as crypto trading tools, Argentina has become a place where businesses and consumers already use dollar-backed tokens for savings, cross-border payments, payroll, and everyday transactions. That existing demand gives financial institutions a ready-made market instead of one they have to build from scratch.

Rather than targeting retail users through crypto apps, the companies are focusing on corporate treasury, institutional payments, and regulated financial intermediaries. It signals that stablecoins in Argentina are moving beyond individual users and becoming part of business finance.

Meanwhile, Circle received final approval from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to launch a national trust bank named Circle National Trust.
