Spacecoin Signs $100M Vietnam Deal for Decentralized Satellite Network

Spacecoin has signed an exclusive agreement with Vietnamese technology firm DETI Technology to roll out a decentralized satellite communication network in Vietnam.

What is Spacecoin building in Vietnam?

The project is designed to support mobile connectivity, blockchain-based routing, and edge AI infrastructure across the country.

The system will focus on serving two major telecom operators, Mobifone and Gtel. Spacecoin said the deal could generate at least $100 million in annual revenue once commercial operations begin. DETI Technology will hold exclusive rights to develop and distribute the system in Vietnam for three years after licensing.

The goal is to provide internet coverage that does not depend on traditional ground infrastructure, such as towers and cables.

Spacecoin’s satellite network operations

Spacecoin’s model uses decentralized satellite systems to deliver connectivity without relying on fixed ground networks. This approach is designed to improve access in areas where traditional infrastructure is expensive or difficult to build.

Instead of routing all data through centralized systems, the network spreads connectivity across satellite nodes. This allows coverage to scale faster while reducing the need for physical installations such as towers or fiber cables.

The company says the system will support governments, telecom operators, and internet providers through real-world testing already underway in multiple regions. Vietnam will be one of its key deployment markets as the project moves toward commercial rollout.

Why is decentralized satellite connectivity gaining attention?

Spacecoin is already working with partners in countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Cambodia as part of its wider expansion strategy. These regions are seen as strong testing grounds due to fast-growing mobile usage and gaps in traditional infrastructure.

Other companies are also exploring satellite and decentralized connectivity models. Traditional satellite providers like Starlink focus on centralized networks, while newer blockchain-linked projects are testing decentralized infrastructure to improve access and resilience.

The Spacecoin deal reflects a broader shift toward alternative internet systems that combine satellite technology with blockchain tools, especially in emerging markets where demand for reliable connectivity continues to rise.

Meanwhile, Vietnam could record the first official activity in its regulated crypto asset market by the third quarter of 2026, according to Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi.
