Boerse Stuttgart Digital, the crypto infrastructure hub of Germany’s asset exchange of the same name, has teamed up with Amazon Web Services(AWS) to enhance its services for European financial institutions in response to the increasing demand for cryptocurrency solutions.
The collaboration, announced in a press release on October 14, aims to enhance the scalability of Boerse Stuttgart Digital’s solutions, specifically tailored for traditional banks, brokers, and asset managers.
Dr Matthias Voelkel, CEO of Boerse Stuttgart Group, emphasized the importance of trust in the cryptocurrency space:
“Institutional investors want to offer their clients access to digital assets without compromising on security or reliability. By leveraging AWS Cloud, we are able to scale our regulated infrastructure solutions, allowing institutions across Europe to build and grow their crypto offerings.”
Tanuja Randery, Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA at AWS, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating,
“We are excited to work with Boerse Stuttgart Group to scale their crypto infrastructure and meet the evolving needs of their customers.”
The partnership highlights the growing trend of retail and corporate clients across Europe seeking reliable and secure access to the cryptocurrency market.
Boerse Stuttgart Digital recently expanded its client base, notably onboarding DZ Bank, a major player in Germany’s cooperative banking sector. It announced that DZ Bank would enable 700 cooperative banks in its network to offer cryptocurrency trading and secure storage for their retail customers.
Meanwhile, this development aligns with the broader efforts of German banks to integrate digital assets into their services. DZ Bank, the country’s second-largest by assets, recently partnered with Metaco to use its Harmonize custody platform to seamlessly incorporate cryptocurrency and digital securities into its institutional asset management services.
