A recent survey by KuCoin highlights the strong interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain among young people in Vietnam.
Over 68% of the respondents, which were mostly students, expressed a “very high interest” in blockchain, and 73% already hold cryptocurrencies.
The survey was conducted during the Vietnam Technology & Investment Summit (VTIS) 2024 and gathered insights from 926 participants between December 3 and December 4, 2024. The results revealed that 92% of respondents are optimistic about the future of digital assets, while 82% are actively considering careers in blockchain-related fields.

Vietnam’s rising status as a key hub for crypto innovation and talent development has caught the attention of major players in the blockchain industry. Alicia Kao, Managing Director of KuCoin, emphasized the crypto exchange’s focus on Vietnam, stating,
“Vietnam has been and will continue to be a key market for us. As the People’s Exchange, we are committed to empowering and equipping this new generation with the tools they need to succeed in the evolving digital landscape.”
Notably, the crypto exchange has been an active participant in Vietnam’s blockchain ecosystem. It recently partnered with Holdstation, a leading blockchain company in the country to boost the tech’s adoption by focusing on education, supporting startups, and developing tailored cryptocurrency solutions. Both companies also plan to host events to provide hands-on learning experiences and enable communities to engage with the Web3 ecosystem.
Trung Banh, Co-founder of Holdstation, highlighted the partnership’s potential, stating that combining KuCoin’s global expertise with Holdstation’s local knowledge can act as a catalyst for digital transformation in Vietnam.
