GRVT Delays Token Launch to July 30 as More Exchange Listings Near Completion

GRVT has postponed the launch of its native token, GRVT, to July 30, saying the extra time will allow it to complete more exchange listings ahead of its token generation event (TGE).

The team said the token will now launch across several major exchanges at the same time instead of rolling out with a smaller group of trading venues. While some listings have already been confirmed, GRVT said additional agreements are still being finalized before they can be announced.

According to the project, exchange partners follow coordinated launch schedules, meaning listings cannot be made public until all agreements have been fully executed.

GRVT said the revised launch date is intended to give users more places to buy and trade the token from the first day of trading.

The project expects the simultaneous listings to provide stronger liquidity, better price discovery, and wider global access once trading begins. It added that exchange names will be revealed as soon as the remaining agreements are completed. The team acknowledged that the delay may disappoint some community members but said the additional preparation would support a stronger market at launch.

Why do crypto projects delay token launches before a TGE?

Delaying a token generation event (TGE) is not always a sign of trouble. In many cases, projects postpone launches to complete exchange agreements, coordinate listing schedules, or strengthen liquidity ahead of trading. A synchronized launch across multiple exchanges can help reduce price gaps between platforms and give more users immediate access to the token.

The timing also matters for market perception. Launching with a limited number of exchanges may restrict trading activity and reduce visibility, while a coordinated rollout can attract more participants on day one. For projects that have already built a community before launch, a short delay is often viewed as a trade-off for a stronger market debut rather than a setback.

GRVT community responds with frustration

The latest delay has also triggered frustration across the GRVT community. While some users accepted the explanation that additional exchange listings could improve liquidity and price discovery at launch, many argued that the bigger problem is the repeated changes to the TGE timeline.

Several community members pointed out that the launch has moved from Q1 to Q2, then to July 21, and now to July 30. They said each revision has weakened confidence in the project’s communication, even if the underlying reasons are valid.

Others are asking for greater transparency instead of more announcements about delays. Community posts have called on GRVT to publish details about the token’s utility, first mentioned in March, along with information on individual token allocations now that the claim selection period has ended. Some users argued that withholding information while extending the schedule sends the wrong message and could hurt confidence in the GRVT token ahead of launch.

As users increasingly demand more transparency around token launches, attention has moved beyond launch dates to the value and utility of new tokens. Against that backdrop, Grvt, which raised $19 million in a Series A round and is positioning itself as a frontrunner in onchain finance with zero-knowledge (ZK) technology, has confirmed the launch of its $GRVT token.
