Gate has announced the launch of four new USDT-margined perpetual contracts tied to different market assets. The new listings include UVXY, CIEN, ISRG, and PANW, with trading set to go live on June 12, 2026, at 06:00 UTC.
The contracts will support both long and short positions, with leverage ranging from 1x to 20x depending on user selection. Traders will also be able to adjust leverage when placing orders, giving more flexibility in how positions are managed.
Gate said launch timing may be adjusted if there is high volatility during the pre-launch phase. Risk settings such as funding rates, margin requirements, and leverage limits may also be updated based on market conditions.

How do these contracts work on the platform?
The new products are settled in USDT and function like standard perpetual futures. This means there is no expiry date, and positions can be held, closed, or adjusted at any time.
UVXY is linked to market volatility, while CIEN, ISRG, and PANW represent large companies in networking, medical technology, and cybersecurity sectors. These instruments are designed to give traders exposure to different sectors through crypto-native trading tools. Funding fees will apply every eight hours, similar to other perpetual products on the exchange.
Why is Gate expanding its derivatives lineup?
Gate’s move shows an increasing user interest in market exposure within crypto trading platforms. Instead of focusing only on digital assets, exchanges are increasingly offering instruments tied to traditional market sectors through derivatives.
Similar products have appeared across other trading platforms, where users can access broader financial exposure without leaving crypto ecosystems. Exchanges say this approach helps attract more active traders while keeping everything within a single trading environment. At the same time, platforms are tightening risk controls as these products become more complex and more widely used.
Notably, Gate upgraded its prediction markets product, adding new tools aimed at faster event discovery, more trading options, and deeper integration with third-party markets like Polymarket.
