Trump-Branded Crypto Wallet Sparks Confusion as Trump Family Denounces Involvement

A Trump-branded crypto wallet announced in June 2025 caused confusion after members of Donald Trump’s family said they were not involved with the product. Magic Eden had presented the wallet as an official $TRUMP product.

The wallet was linked to the team behind the $TRUMP memecoin. Magic Eden said it had partnered with GetTrumpMemes.com, while the wallet website described it as the “Official $TRUMP Wallet.”

Within hours, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Barron Trump all said they had no involvement. Donald Trump Jr. said the Trump Organization had “zero involvement” and pointed to World Liberty Financial as the group working on a separate official wallet.

Why the wallet caused confusion

Donald Trump Jr. made his position clear in a statement, saying the Trump Organization was not involved. He also said World Liberty Financial was working on its own wallet. Eric Trump warned Magic Eden about using the family name without approval.

Barron Trump also posted a statement saying the family had “zero involvement” with the wallet. The three statements made the split between the different Trump-linked crypto businesses clear.

At the same time, the wallet website continued to describe the product as the “Official $TRUMP Wallet by President Trump.” It said Magic Eden had partnered with GetTrumpMemes.com, which is linked to Fight Fight Fight LLC, the company behind the $TRUMP memecoin.

The structure behind the token added to the confusion. Fight Fight Fight and CIC Digital, a Trump-linked company, controlled a large share of the $TRUMP supply. This meant the wallet had a clear connection to businesses around the token, even though the Trump family said the wallet itself was not approved.

The wallet was later halted

The dispute moved beyond social media. World Liberty Financial reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter to Fight Fight Fight and Magic Eden after the wallet announcement. The letter sought to stop the use of the Trump name in a product that the family said it had not approved.

The wallet project was then halted. Eric Trump later confirmed that the project would not continue, while World Liberty Financial moved ahead with its own plans for a wallet. This changed the story from a planned product launch into a dispute over branding, control, and the different businesses using the Trump name.

The episode also showed why the Trump crypto brand can be hard to follow. The family has been linked to World Liberty Financial, while separate companies have been behind the $TRUMP memecoin and other products. These businesses can have different owners, partners, and roles, even when they use the same Trump branding.

Magic Eden has also changed its own business since the dispute. In 2026, the company said it was winding down its wallet and some marketplace services while keeping its Solana marketplace and Packs products. Its help center said the Magic Eden Wallet would be fully shut down from May 1, 2026.

The original wallet dispute therefore did not become the lasting Trump wallet product described in June 2025. Instead, it became an example of the problems that can arise when several crypto businesses use the same political and family brand. The family’s separate crypto ventures have continued, but the Magic Eden wallet itself did not become the official family product it initially claimed to be.

In May, Truth Social denied rumors that it was preparing its own memecoin, adding to the need to check who actually controls each Trump-branded crypto project.
