As the conflict in Ukraine continues, local pharmacies have been forced to adapt and find new ways to conduct business safely. To stay ahead of the curve, ANC Pharmacy, a leading pharmacy chain in the country, has partnered with Binance Ukraine to offer its customers the option to make payments using cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
Customers at ANC Pharmacy can now make purchases using digital assets through Binance Pay, a contactless crypto payment service.
Starting January 3rd, ANC Pharmacy will offer instant payment options for online purchases. The pharmacy chain, which has over 1,000 locations in Ukraine and an online pharmacy service, will initially make Binance Pay available in pharmacies in Kyiv.
Binance Pay payments will initially be available in pharmacies located in Kyiv, according to the official announcement.
According to the official announcement, “from now on if you want to make a crypto payment at ANC pharmacies, you’ll need to start by downloading the Binance app. Once you have the app, you can visit the ANC.ua website and browse for your desired product. When you’re ready to check out, you can use the Binance Pay service to complete your payment and select your preferred pharmacy for pick-up. It’s easy and convenient to use Binance Pay at ANC pharmacies, so give it a try next time you shop with us.”
This move marks a significant shift towards digital payments in the Ukrainian pharmacy industry and could set a precedent for other businesses in the country to follow suit.
This is not the first time Binance has made this kind of move in Ukraine. Since September 2022, Binance has been expanding its presence in Ukraine, partnering with the famous Ukrainian supermarket chain Varus to bring even more convenience to customers. With this partnership, shoppers at Varus can now use their Binance Pay Wallet to quickly pay for their grocery purchases.
