Ample FinTech, a Singapore-based fintech specializing in Web3 payment and tokenization solutions, has partnered with WSPN to advance Web3 payment technologies and enhance WSPN’s stablecoin, WUSD.
The collaboration will explore integrating Ample’s Web3 innovations—such as programmable payments, digital credentials, and tokenized invoicing—into WSPN’s infrastructure. These technologies are expected to streamline cross-border payments, international trade, e-commerce, and supply chain finance, driving efficiency and flexibility in global financial operations.
Louis Wan, Head of Research at Ample FinTech, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating,
“By integrating advanced technologies with WSPN’s infrastructure, we aim to transform cross-border transactions, enhancing capital efficiency and fostering innovation in global finance.”
A significant focus of the partnership is to leverage Ample FinTech’s secure tokenization technology to enhance WUSD’s capability in cross-border transactions, thus supports WSPN’s objective to create a more versatile and reliable stablecoin.
Raymond Yuan, Founder and CEO of WSPN, highlighted the potential of this collaboration to improve WUSD’s role in the digital payment space, noting,
“By combining Ample’s technologies with our global infrastructure, we’re creating more efficient, flexible solutions for cross-border transactions.”
This partnership announcement follows WSPN’s recent collaborations with Viction, a Layer-1 blockchain, and Ninety-Eight (formerly Coin98), a crypto exchange. These partnerships, announced on November 5, are expected to boost WUSD’s adoption in emerging markets, particularly in Vietnam, through enhanced integration with Viction’s blockchain, increased liquidity, and local outreach.
In another development, Austin Campbell, former Paxos executive, has joined WSPN US as CEO. WSPN noted that Campbell brings extensive experience in stablecoin markets and digital asset strategy, having previously managed stable value products at JPMorgan and Citi. He also oversaw reserves and risk for Paxos stablecoins and played a key role in the design of PayPal’s PYUSD. The network expects his expertise to be instrumental in advancing WSPN’s stablecoin initiatives in the U.S.
