The Ukraine government announced that it was organizing an airdrop to residents from the donated amount. It was announced via the Twitter account of the Ukrainian government. According to the tweet,
“Airdrop confirmed. Snapshot will be taken tomorrow, on March 3rd, at 6 pm Kyiv time (UTC/GMT +2 hours).

At the moment, there is no extra information concerning the airdrop process, especially the method of dispensing the cryptocurrencies to residents.
After announcing the airdrop, over $7 million in cryptocurrencies was donated to the country for the airdrop process. Before it announced the Airdrop plans, the country had raised over $33 million in crypto donations. Ukraine has received over $40 million worth of cryptocurrencies which includes $1.1 million in ether, $6 million in DOT, and other cryptos since it began raising funds.
The Ukrainian government has announced that every Russian soldier that lays down their weapon will earn $48,000.
As part of its duties to protect the country, Ukraine’s National Agency for the Protection against Corruption (NAPC) has announced that residents that capture Russian tanks are not expected to pay any tax on them.
“Have you captured a Russian tank or armored personnel carrier and are worried about how to declare it? Keep calm and continue to defend the Motherland! There is no need to declare the captured Russian tanks and other equipment because the cost of this … does not exceed 100 living wages (UAH 248,100),” NAPC’s press service said.
At the moment, it is unclear how the crypto airdrop will work, especially in the aspect of dispensing and taxation.
