The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is preparing to launch a blockchain-based chronicle of the Russian invasion of Ukraine named MetaHistory NFT Museum.
The museum will display Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) in the form of digital art combined with textual remarks at the museum. According to Reuters, Ukraine began auctioning off a collection of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) on Friday as part of an extension of a cryptocurrency fundraising drive that Kyiv claims has already raised more than $65 million for its war effort.
The ‘Meta History: Museum of War’ collection includes a sequence of digital pictures, each representing a different day in the fight, featuring silhouettes of jets, screengrabs of news headlines, and a cartoon-style representation of an explosion.
According to a post on the collection’s website, the NFT series intends “to convey true information among the digital community throughout the world and to collect funds for the support of Ukraine.”
Three days after Russia launched its invasion, Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation published an appeal for donations in digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ether.
Earlier this month, the Ukraine government announced via Twitter that it was organizing an airdrop to residents from the donated amount. After the announcement, The country received $7 million in cryptocurrencies.
