Decentralised digital infrastructure, Dora Factory, has successfully rounded up the launch of a one-million Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure (MACI) voting contract on the Dora Vota mainnet.
The digital platform announced this development on X on Thursday, June 6, 2024, while also noting that it has commenced a second round of the ARZ Quadratic Grant for which the voting round would be used.
This MACI voting round is the first trial of large-scale on-chain privacy governance technology undertaken by Dora Factory in collaboration with the cryptocurrency community. Over 1.04 million wallet addresses are reportedly participating in the round.
This ARZ Quadratic Grant initiative aims to support public good projects in their early stages and open-source ventures within the ATOM Economic Zone over the upcoming two years. The grant proposal submission period is ongoing and will continue until July 3.
According to the announcement, the round is backed up by a 28,000 USDC grant funding pool, which was contributed by ATOM Accelerator (AADAO) and Cosmos Hub.
The platform noted that users already on the MACI allowlist can directly vote for projects in the round. The MACI gas station will handle MACI sign-up and voting gas fees during the funding round.
Dora Factory acts as a virtual infrastructure that generates protocols, tools, and a public efficient framework to support the development of open-source communities and cutting-edge technology developers.
Over eight projects received funding during the initial round of the AEZ Quadratic Grant. The platform claimed that these projects would continue to receive the funding until they stop development or secure considerable extra funding.
The announcement spurred reactions from the crypto community, as pundits expressed their excitement about it. One such, a pseudonymous crypto venture capitalist named “GP” commented that this is the largest voting round in web3 history. He added that what makes it much better is the display of Dora Factory’s MACI technology.
