Ripple has recently posted a job opening for a senior shareholder communications manager, sparking speculation that the firm might be preparing for an eventual initial public offering (IPO).
The listing suggests that hired personnel will be involved in crafting targeted plans for events like “M&A, investments, liquidity events, and other high-impact moments.” The role also involves developing investor relations strategies and communications for “existing and prospective investors, current shareholders, and financial analysts.”
Other responsibilities listed include creating investor presentations, managing a shareholder database, and coordinating quarterly reports—materials routinely required to promote upcoming IPOs to prospective shareholders.
While such shareholder outreach is typical for public companies, it’s relatively uncommon in the crypto sector. This has led some to interpret the job posting as a sign of Ripple’s IPO ambitions and has generated excitement among XRP token holders anticipating a Ripple IPO for years.
Anyone notice the recent job openings at #Ripple?
The only reason you need a Shareholders Communication Manager.. is for an IPO.

While some Ripple executives have hinted at going public eventually, no concrete timeline for this major move has been provided.
An IPO could provide liquidity for early Ripple investors and employees with equity compensation while raising the crypto firm’s profile in the market.
However, the company currently faces headwinds from an ongoing lawsuit filed by the United States Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) over claims of unregistered securities violations regarding the sales XRP. Earlier this year, a judge ruled that XRP is not a security, but the case remains unresolved as the SEC contemplates an appeal.
Legal experts suggest that the lawsuit has likely delayed Ripple’s IPO plans due to the reputational and regulatory risks it carries. However, a settlement could potentially pave the way for Ripple to finally go public.
