On October 17, Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced the results of its third batch burn.
According to the most recent data on the website, a total of $659,300.76 (or 2,502,313,116 LUNC) was sent to the burn address. This figure represents the total costs incurred for all LUNC spot and margin trades from October 9–15. Binance sent over 5.6 billion LUNC to the LUNC burn address due to its first batch burn, which is approximately $1.8 million.
Binance has stated that all trading fees on LUNC spot and margin trading pairs will be sent to the LUNC burn address to show its support for the 1.2% tax burn.
LUNC is currently trading at $0.000261, up slightly in the last 24 hours but down 13.28% in the last week.
Although the community is still waiting for the results of the first batch burn, the price of LUNC has remained unchanged.
After Unchained Podcast host Laura Shin announced that Terra founder Do Kwon would be featured on the show’s next episode, LUNC could see volatility throughout the week. The episode featuring Do Kwon will be released on Tuesday, October 18, allowing listeners to get their questions about Terra and its demise answered. Over $60 billion was lost when the Terra ecosystem crashed in May after the UST stablecoin depegged.
