A private university, Bentley University, has partnered with a notable crypto exchange, Coinbase, to accept cryptocurrency for tuition payments.
The private university based in Waltham, Massachusetts, announced that it intends to accept cryptocurrency payments from its students.
Bentley University’s president, President E. LaBrent Chrite, stated, “Bentley University is at the forefront in preparing business leaders with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the changing world economy.”
The partnership was struck by the School of Accounting and Finance at Bentley University to make it easy for payments to be made via Coinbase.
As a result of this development, the university will now accept three major cryptocurrencies, which are Bitcoin, Ether, and USDC.
Alex Kim, a student at the university and the founder of the Bentley Blockchain Association, stated,
“Students have a real interest in knowing more about blockchain, decentralized finance, and cryptocurrency investments.”
