Solana Mobile has officially launched the global rollout of its second-generation web3 smartphone, the Seeker, with shipments now underway to users in over 50 countries.
The company confirmed the milestone in an August 4 announcement on X, revealing that tens of thousands of units are already in transit. The Seeker builds on the foundation of Solana’s first crypto-native smartphone, the Saga, which struggled initially but gained popularity through lucrative token airdrops.

This time, demand is stronger. With more than 150,000 pre-orders, the Seeker comes preloaded with over 2,500 decentralized applications via the Solana dApp Store 2.0, targeting both developers and cryptocurrency power users. The device features a self-custodial hardware wallet, Seed Vault, built in partnership with Solflare, and includes a Genesis NFT offering future access to airdrops, exclusive content, and rewards.
The phone also introduces SKR, a native incentive token for developers and users. While full tokenomics are yet to be disclosed, the Seeker’s broader appeal is clear: it decentralizes app distribution and security using its custom TEEPIN architecture, sidestepping the restrictions of dominant mobile platforms like Apple and Google. Users can sideload apps via APKs or use progressive web apps, avoiding traditional app store fees.
Priced between $450 and $500, Solana Mobile is poised to generate at least $67.5 million in gross revenue from initial sales.
The launch comes amid renewed momentum in the Solana ecosystem. Total value locked in its decentralized finance sector has surpassed $9.8 billion, while meme tokens like BONK are drawing renewed interest. Notably, the BONK airdrop tied to the Saga phone previously exceeded the cost of the device — a trend that may continue with the Seeker, fueling further demand.
With an affordable price tag, strong developer incentives, and a growing DeFi ecosystem, the Seeker positions Solana Mobile as a serious contender in the emerging web3 hardware space.
