During a CNBC “Squawk Box” interview on August 19, 2025, Scaramucci cited increasing institutional interest and adoption as key drivers behind the anticipated rally.
Scaramucci highlighted a major shift in Bitcoin’s ownership dynamics over the past few years. Whereas blockchain conferences once primarily attracted retail investors and blockchain startup executives, they now see significant participation from institutional investors. This broadening base of buyers, coupled with supply constraints, underpins his confidence in Bitcoin’s upward trajectory.
Despite Bitcoin’s recent price volatility—including a drop from a peak of $124,457 to approximately $113,733 as of August 20—Scaramucci remains firm on his price target. He argues that the current consolidation marks a healthy transition toward greater long-term stability and institutional accumulation.
“There is just way more demand than supply in the market,”
Scaramucci explained.
Scaramucci also weighed in on broader financial system challenges, identifying Bitcoin as a potential “immutable asset” valued for its scarcity and transparency. While not predicting Bitcoin will become the universal monetary standard, he envisions it evolving into a store of value that could rival or even surpass gold’s market cap.

Notably, Financial author Robert Kiyosaki’s warns of an impending “bursting” of “bubbles” in the markets, specifically naming Bitcoin, gold, and silver. Despite Bitcoin recently surging past $120,000, Kiyosaki suggests these assets could face significant corrections, which he views as a buying opportunity.
