KuCoin now shares top-tier status with leading exchanges like Coinbase, OKX, and Kraken, reinforcing its position as a trusted and security-first trading venue for over 41 million users in more than 200 countries.
This recognition follows a series of security-driven initiatives by KuCoin in 2025. In April, the exchange unveiled its $2 billion “Trust Project” at TOKEN2049 Dubai, a move aimed at deepening user trust through transparency and security investment. That same year, KuCoin achieved SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certifications, affirming its adherence to global best practices in information security and internal controls.
Recently, KuCoin partnered with BitGo to launch the Go Network Off-Exchange Settlement system. This innovation separates asset custody from trade execution, providing institutional clients with enhanced capital protection and risk mitigation.
“Our security-first philosophy is not a feature—it’s the foundation of our platform,”
said KuCoin CEO BC Wong.
“This AAA rating validates the years of investment and engineering we’ve dedicated to staying ahead of threats and safeguarding user assets.”
KuCoin’s long-term security roadmap includes continued investment in zero-trust architecture, encryption key management, and monthly Proof of Reserves (PoR) disclosures. The exchange is also pursuing regulatory licensing globally, including the upcoming MiCAR framework in the EU, to reinforce its compliance infrastructure.
CER.live’s evaluation methodology, known as “CERtified,” is widely recognized for its rigour and is integrated into CoinGecko’s TrustScore—an important benchmark for users evaluating platform reliability. In an industry where security lapses can have massive consequences, such third-party validation carries significant weight.
