Binance Academy has deepened its footprint in Pakistan through a strategic partnership with the Ministry of IT and Telecom (MoITT), launching a nationwide blockchain education initiative.
The program, set to run through 2026, targets integration across 20 universities and aims to train 300 educators to deliver blockchain-focused curricula to over 80,000 students.
This initiative builds on the foundation of Binance Academy’s Global University Outreach Program (GUOP)—the world’s largest Web3 education campaign. Since its introduction to Pakistan in 2022, GUOP has already trained 3,000 students across 13 universities and three provinces. The expansion reflects a growing demand for blockchain literacy as the country pursues its digital transformation goals.

Through this collaboration, educators will receive structured, blockchain-specific training, equipping them to deliver real-world, industry-relevant knowledge. This aligns with Pakistan’s broader ambitions to develop a technologically advanced, globally competitive workforce in digital finance and innovation.
Speaking about the partnership, Bader Al Kalooti, MEASA Head of Growth and Operations at Binance, emphasised the critical role of skills development in unlocking the blockchain’s potential.
“This partnership is a major step toward cultivating a workforce capable of driving innovation and contributing to the global digital economy,”
he noted.
Echoing that sentiment, Minister of IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja called the program a significant milestone in Pakistan’s digital agenda. She affirmed that the initiative, in line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision, enhances Pakistan’s standing as an emerging hub for blockchain talent and economic growth.
Further reinforcing its commitment to local users, Binance has also introduced a new feature in Pakistan that enables seamless conversion of USDT (Tether) to PKR (Pakistani Rupees). Users can now sell USDT directly through the Binance app, with withdrawals available via local bank accounts or mobile wallets, bridging the gap between digital assets and everyday financial access. After specifying the desired amount, users can receive their funds via a bank transfer or a mobile wallet, ensuring a convenient withdrawal method.
