Binance has announced the listing of StraitsX USD (XUSD), a U.S. Dollar stablecoin, on March 19, 2025, at 08:00 UTC.
Trading for the XUSD/USDT pair will begin, and to mark the launch, It is offering a zero-fee promotion for both spot and margin trading on this pair.
Ahead of the trading debut, users can begin depositing XUSD to prepare for the launch, with withdrawals set to open a day later on March 20, 2025, at 08:00 UTC. The listing fee for XUSD is 0 BNB, and Binance has emphasized that the withdrawal time is estimated, advising users to check the withdrawal page for real-time updates.
Shortly after Binance announced the listing, XUSD surged in value, reaching $1.05, while it usually trades between $0.99 and $1.00. Currently, XUSD is valued at $1.03, having gained 3.5%. XUSD is a fully backed stablecoin designed to maintain a 1:1 ratio with the U.S. Dollar, offering reliability for various financial transactions, including on-chain trading, cross-border remittances, DeFi applications, treasury management, and merchant settlements. Its infrastructure facilitates rapid settlements, bridging digital and traditional finance while leveraging blockchain technology.
Furthermore, Binance’s zero-fee promotion on the XUSD/USDT trading pairs will remain in effect from the launch date until further notice. However, trading volume on these pairs will not count towards Binance’s VIP tier calculations or liquidity provider programs during the promotion. Standard trading fees will resume once the promotion period ends.
Binance advises users to research before trading XUSD outside the platform to avoid scams and notes that certain regions, including the United States, Canada, and Japan, will not have access to the new trading pair due to regulatory restrictions.
Notably, Binance has added new trading pairs on its Spot platform: CVC/USDC, EURI/USDC, SYN/USDC, USDC/RON, and VELODROME/USDC. They also launched Trading Bots services for these pairs via the Spot Algo Orders feature, enabling users to automate and optimize their trading strategies.
