RWA tokenization platform Matrixdock has announced the integration of its gold-backed token, XAUm, with Binance Wallet.
According to its press release, the integration is designed to provide seamless Web3 compatibility and offer users an efficient and transparent way to manage their gold investments.
XAUm is fully backed by gold bars accredited by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), with each token representing one troy ounce of gold. These gold reserves are securely stored in Brink’s vaults in Hong Kong and Singapore, and token holders can redeem their XAUm tokens for physical gold.
Matriddock claimed that XAUm combines blockchain innovation with user-centric features, such as proof-of-reserve transparency and multi-chain reserve management, enhancing interoperability and trust.
This development makes it easier for global users to buy, own, and trade gold directly from their mobile devices. Matridock noted that its aim is to position XAUm “as a benchmark for modern gold investments.”
The firm noted that it has already partnered with other wallet services like MetaMask and OKX to expand gold-token accessibility.
Binance Wallet’s role in this integration further strengthens XAUm’s position by offering users an easy-to-use, secure gateway to Web3. The wallet allows for cross-chain token swaps and yield-earning capabilities while utilizing Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology to ensure secure transactions without requiring seed phrases or private keys.
In a similar stride towards Web3 advancement, Binance Wallet has launched the Alpha platform, designed to help users discover promising pre-listed tokens. Integrated with the Web3 wallet, Alpha highlights early-stage projects poised for potential listing on Binance.
Winson Liu, Global Lead of Binance Wallet, emphasized that Alpha strengthens community trust by showcasing tokens with significant growth potential. The platform will spotlight projects based on factors like community engagement, traction, and emerging trends, giving users valuable insights into the dynamic Web3 ecosystem and helping them navigate Binance’s evolving marketplace.
