CoinFlip, a leading U.S.-based crypto ATM provider, is expanding its operations to Mexico, marking its eighth international market.
In a recent press release, the company announced that it had installed over 20 cryptocurrency kiosks, commonly known as Bitcoin ATMs, across Mexico City.
These crypto ATMs, which provide a secure and convenient way for consumers to buy and sell cryptocurrency using cash, are reportedly located in high-traffic areas such as shopping centres, coffee shops, bakeries, and select locations. They are equipped with touchscreens and a QR code scanner, enabling users to securely credit funds to their wallets without manually entering lengthy wallet addresses.
CoinFlip’s expansion into Mexico represents a significant step in the country’s growth of cryptocurrency accessibility. The company noted that it is trying to facilitate broader access to the digital currency economy for Mexican consumers.
CEO and Co-Founder Ben Weiss described the company’s expansion into Mexico as a strategic step in their global growth plan.
“Our digital currency kiosks offer everyday consumers a familiar and secure entry point into the global digital economy,”
said Weiss.
He expressed confidence that as cryptocurrency adoption rises in Mexico, more people will turn to CoinFlip for convenient, secure, and user-friendly options to buy, sell, and invest in digital currencies.
“We’re thrilled to expand our services to Mexico City and be a part of this vibrant and rapidly growing community,”
Weiss added.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Bravo, CoinFlip’s Country Director for Mexico, emphasized the strong demand for their services in the region.
“We believe there’s a tremendous appetite among Mexican customers for tools that help them combat inflation, build wealth, and effortlessly send or receive money internationally,”
Bravo said.
He pointed out a growing demand for secure and user-friendly ways to participate in the digital economy, and CoinFlip meets that need. Bravo also anticipated a significant increase in cryptocurrency ownership in Mexico as awareness of the advantages of digital assets continues to grow.
