Crypto exchange Bitget has expanded the Fiat-to-Crypto options on its platform by integrating two new payment methods: Apple Pay and Google Pay.
In a recent press release, the Seychelles-based exchange announced that iOS-based and Andriod-based device users can now use either of these native payment services as an alternative to traditional methods like credit cards and bank transfers when converting fiat to crypto. The exchange claimed this integration is part of its drive to provide its customers with a smoother experience when converting fiat to crypto.
The press release noted that Bitget users can purchase over 100 cryptocurrencies using a wide range of fiat currencies on the platform and complete these transactions in under 30 seconds.
Apple Pay enables easy payments across iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. Similarly, Google Pay offers a secure, contactless way to handle finances, whether online or in-app, on any Android or Google-supported device. Both services provide top-tier security and enhance the user experience with fast, effortless transactions.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, noted that the integration, with a combined user base of over 650 million, makes crypto purchases instant and easy, expanding access to broader audiences. “This integration is another step towards our vision of an equitable future driven by crypto’s evolution,” Chen added.
Meanwhile, this development builds on Bitget’s recent moves to solidify its position in the crypto space by collaborating with non-industry giants. The exchange’s self-custodial service, Bitget Wallet, recently teamed up with Foresight X to invest in Tomarket, a new crypto trading platform developed by industry veterans from Microsoft and Binance. Announced on June 28, 2024, the platform aims to bridge gaps in decentralized exchanges by offering trading in Real-World Assets (RWAs), pre-TGE assets, crypto points, and yield swaps, enhancing liquidity and value discovery in the digital asset space.
