HashKey Group has launched its long-awaited native token, $HSK, and it will be distributed through an airdrop campaign on Telegram.
The announcement, made on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, revealed that participants can claim $HSK tokens by engaging with a Telegram bot game called “DejenDog” and completing specified tasks.
The HashKey Group, a major stakeholder in Asia’s crypto and blockchain sector, had earlier revealed plans to distribute 10 million $HSK tokens to its community before its scheduled listing in the third quarter of this year.
Notably, this launch represents a significant step in HashKey’s efforts to expand its ecosystem and engage its user base through innovative distribution methods. The Group stated that the token will serve multiple purposes within its ecosystem, functioning as a governance token, handling gas fee transactions, and providing incentives.
The $HSK token is an Ethereum-based ERC-20 coin with a total supply of 1 billion tokens. According to its tokenomics, 65% of the circulating supply has been allocated for ecosystem expansion, 30% for staff, and 5% as a reserve fund.
This airdrop campaign also features a tap-to-earn mini-game within DejenDog, allowing participants to earn additional points for token redemption. Participants can redeem their earned HIT points for extra eligible $HSK tokens or use them to access Decentralized Applications (dApps) on HashKey’s Layer 2 “Ecosystem Chain,” known as HashKey Chain.
The Group also noted that it plans to distribute other tokens from $HSK network partners, including Limited “Golden Doggy Bag” blind boxes, during the game launch.
Telegram tap-to-earn games have gained significant popularity globally in recent months. Games such as Notcoin, Tapswap, Hamster Kombat, PixelTap, and Yescoin have made headlines. These games typically involve users tapping a button to earn tokens, which accumulate and are released to users on scheduled dates.
