Snoop Dogg, the American hip-hop legend, legally known as Calvin Cordoza Broadus Jr., has been revealed as a co-founder of the Web3-powered livestream platform known as Shiller.
The platform aims to be a one-stop shop for Web3 artists, projects, and content creators looking to build their communities. Shiller offers the best live video and audio capabilities and allows creators to share NFTs and Merch from leading marketplaces.
The app’s main features include the ability for music artists to go live from their gallery, studio, or stage using their phone or professional broadcast equipment to showcase their art and introduce assets in real-time. It also functions as a social commerce platform enabling creators and projects to sell products, such as clothing, electronic devices, or event tickets, like an e-commerce site.
According to Sam Jones, also a co-founder of Shiller, the app is trying to create a two-sided broadcast marketplace that connects creators and projects, and brands and Web3 enthusiasts.
Snoop Dogg has been actively involved in the NFT and Web3 spaces. He partnered with platforms such as Sandbox Metaverse to launch “Snoop Avatars,” an NFT collection. He also partnered with Yuga Labs to perform on a metaverse-transformed stage at MTV’s Video Music Awards (MVMA). In addition to that, he also joined Roobet, a crypto-backed casino platform, as a “Chief Ganjaroo Officer.”
While announcing the launch of the app, Snoop Dogg stated, “I’m excited to partner with Sam to launch Shiller to the world. This app truly provides a platform for creators to reach their fans in unique ways and monetize their own content.
