Sandlot Sloths, a community based on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) centered around baseball, has teamed up with Major League Baseball’s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Kids Program to create a collection of 5,944 hand-drawn sloths NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain.
According to their press release, the NFT tokens are membership tickets to the Sandlot Sloths association, where baseball fans can participate in real-life events and purchase baseball-related merchandise. The association also supports RBI, their affiliated charity partner, in assisting underserved communities.
Interested buyers are encouraged to register to qualify for the allowlist. The pre-sale will be held on March 30, 2023, and it will enable allowlist members to mint up to 9 tokens at a discounted price of 0.03 ETH. Alternatively, the public mint will commence on March 31, and tokens will be available for purchase at 0.042 ETH.
20% of the initial Sandlot Sloths NFTs sale revenue will be donated to RBI to support children’s access to connected programs so they can play, and 2% of all future sales of the Sandlot Sloths collection will be donated to RBI each month.
Sandlot Sloths NFT token holders will have access to more than just membership in a community of baseball enthusiasts. They will also have the opportunity to enjoy a range of perks, such as access to in-person meetups and MLB game tickets, complimentary merchandise, an ETH (cryptocurrency) airdrop, exclusive giveaways, automatic eligibility for future drops, and a vote in deciding how charity funds are distributed.
