The African division of a notable blockchain company, Jelurida has decided to begin a tour to promote blockchain technology and offer the necessary education concerning it. The campaign will happen in East Africa and begin on October 23, 2021, in Tanzania before moving to other countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe.
Still, on the educational tour, Jelurida Africa will hold their campaigns in public offices, financial firms, and even private and public universities. It won’t end in only educating private individuals, as the team will try to contact lawmakers to discuss the potentials of blockchain in their countries. Some of these countries have been hostile towards cryptocurrency and other aspects of blockchain technology, and this educational campaign may help put it in good light. A number of them have created hostile regulations to reduce the access of crypto to their residents, while others have placed an outright ban on crypto transactions.
As part of its plans, it is expected that they will also reach out to active members of the blockchain community like developers.
Though some terrains may be hostile to the technology, some residents in those countries have continued to use cryptocurrency. To some, it is a hedge against foreign exchange risks and to others, it makes cross-border payment easier.
