Stellar Cyber, the developer of Open XDR, has announced a new integration with Mimecast to enhance its customers’ ability to combat harmful email-based attacks, including phishing attacks. The new integration automates the exchange of critical attack information, enabling a more effective response to mitigate risks.
According to their press release, Mimecast’s Email Security capabilities will be integrated with Stellar Cyber’s Open XDR platform to monitor all email traffic and identify any suspicious emails. Mimecast’s advanced features, such as AI-powered detection, phishing protection, and advanced attachment scanning, will automatically share relevant alert data with Stellar Cyber’s analytics platform.
The Open XDR platform provides a comprehensive and integrated perspective on potential threats based on the analysis Mimecast alerts and other gathered data. This streamlined process significantly reduces the time attackers have to infiltrate systems and accelerates the response to mitigate risks.
Jules Martin, Mimecast’s Vice President of Technology Alliances, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration between Mimecast and Stellar Cyber, as it empowers their mutual clients to promptly identify and address threats, thereby enhancing their overall awareness throughout the attack cycle.
Martin highlighted the enduring significance of email as the primary gateway for ransomware attacks, noting a significant surge in the sophistication of these malicious activities.
According to Andrew Homer, the Vice President of Technology Alliances, attacks originate from various sources. Thus there is an urgency for security operations teams to swiftly identify and address threats has become increasingly crucial.
Homer emphasized that their collaboration with Mimecast in integrating technology enables security teams to streamline their operations, reducing the need for laborious manual tasks and enhancing their capacity to achieve swifter security outcomes.
In addition to the integration with Mimecast, Stellar Cyber formed a strategic alliance with NextGen Group Philippines, a technology services group to deliver advanced cybersecurity solutions to organizations in the Philippines.
The partnership enables NextGen partners to access the powerful Stellar Cyber Open XDR platform for a unified view of their customers’ security status. These partners will also be able to leverage Open XDR to effectively safeguard their customers against existing and evolving cyber threats.
