Google has announced the introduction of two new ad solutions, Demand Gen and Video View, for advertisers, and both leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to identify optimal ad placements across all of its services.
Demand Gen campaign offers specially designed features for the needs of marketers. Demand Gen utilizes AI to distribute photo and video ads across multiple platforms, including Gmail, the YouTube feed, and Shorts. Video View campaign, on the other hand, helps brands maximize views by using AI to identify optimal placements for video advertisements.
Vidhya Srinivasan, Vice President and General Manager of Advertising at Google, emphasized the ability of AI to eliminate the need for manual ad placement selection and identify visually appealing and immersive spots for optimal engagement.
Srinivasan noted that Google’s dedication to providing advertisers with cutting-edge tools is further exemplified by the second solution, Video View, which preliminary testing showed a significant 40% increase in overall views for brands that have tested it.
By leveraging AI to handle certain tasks, such as identifying ideal ad placements, brands can focus more on their marketing strategy and storytelling. Srinivasan described this as relieving advertisers of the “grunt work.”
These new campaigns come at a time when the digital industry is experiencing transformative changes due to the growing influence of AI.
