The Avalanche Foundation yesterday announced the launch of Avaissance, an initiative intended to revolutionize Avalanche NFTs by igniting the creativity of artists and boosting the growth of its platform’s ecosystem.

The Avalanche Foundation is launching the Avaissance initiative to grow the #AVAX NFT ecosystem and support its budding artists. The program aims to usher in a rebirth of creative activity on Avalanche.

Avalanche stated in the blog post announcing the initiative:
“The unique program aims to spur Avalanche NFT growth through specialized mentorship, financial support, and DAO curation of Avalanche art.”
Avaissance comprises two core components: the Artist in Resident program (AIR) and the Mona Lisa Initiative (MLI).
The Artist in Resident program (AIR) is designed to cater to more than 50 artists. The program will support artists at all skill levels by offering them six months of funding, mentorship, and access to virtual workshops. The workshops, which last one hour, will cover various topics, including marketing strategies and the use of digital tools. Additionally, AIR artists will have networking opportunities. As part of the program, the participating artists will create and release one collection of work on Avalanche.
Meanwhile, the Mona Lisa Initiative (MLI) is intended to facilitate collaborations with the curatorial teams of DAOs to boost the recognition of emerging Avalanche NFT artists and create an Avalanche Permanent Collection. The primary focus will be gathering and showcasing artwork from promising Avalanche NFT artists. According to the announcement, information on the participating DAOs in the curation program will be released soon.
