Gateway.fm, a decentralized blockchain infrastructure node provider, has raised $4.6 million in a combined seed fundraising round led by Lemniscap. Other investors included CMT Digital Ventures, the LAO DAO, Folius Ventures, the Fantom Foundation, and Unstoppable Domains Ventures.
According to a report, the funding would be used to accelerate product development and deliver advanced staking services, strengthen user recruiting and acquisition efforts, and focus on growing the company’s engineering division.
Cuautemoc Weber, co-founder and CEO of Gateway.fm, believes the announcement is a firm endorsement of their product line from a group of leading international financial visionaries.
Weber stated:
“Alongside Igor Mandrigin, my Gateway co-founder and CTO, I’ve felt that the spirit of decentralisation at the heart of the Web3 movement has been undermined by limited access to scalable infrastructure.”
According to Weber, Gateway.fm plans to offer dependable node infrastructure, best-in-class validators, and comprehensive dev tooling to support Web3 projects’ rapid scaling while encouraging financial institutions and businesses to explore blockchain technology confidently.
Gateway.fm aims to develop decentralized RPC solutions that are independent of centralized services like Amazon Web Services, a prominent provider of Web3 infrastructure.
Gateway Grow is designed for institutional staking validators operating on Proof-of-Stake (POS) networks, including Ethereum, Gnosis, and IXO. Gateway Access is the company’s specialized, cost-efficient RPC node service geared for scale, supporting ETH, Fantom, NEAR, and Gnosis at the moment.
Lemniscap’s founder, Roderik van der Graaf, stated that the company is interested in advancing complex multi-chain architecture and technology. According to Graaf, Gateway is increasing the inclusivity, accessibility, and dependability of blockchain networks and protocols with a collection of top-tier, cutting-edge technologies.
Graaf stated:
