Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, has stated that he was leaving the foundation to take up a new appointment with the government of Grenada as its ambassador to the World Trade Organization.
With this decision, a date has been created for the dissolving of the Tron Foundation, the organization that oversees Tron and its usage. The proposed dissolution of the Foundation will leave the management of the cryptocurrency and its underlying blockchain in the hands of the community.
Justin Sun, through his Twitter handle, stated that The Tron Foundation will be dissolved on July 25. Going forward, the affairs of the Tron ecosystem will be run by the community.
While this is ongoing, Justin Sun has noted through the thread of tweets that he will step down and begin his appointment with the Grenadian government as their ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Sun noted that the three supernodes that he had run in the past will no longer be part of the Tron Representatives. From now on, twenty-seven super representatives will oversee the TRON community.
While replying to a tweet from CoinDesk, Sun announced that he was not removing himself from the Tron ecosystem, but was merely becoming a follower and participant in it.
I’m not retiring from #TRON, but rather stepping down from an active involvement to serve as leader and supporter role now that the TRON network has been truly decentralized.
I will still be engaged with the TRON community and push for further advancement of the TRON blockchain. https://t.co/kMcnZ18flK
